Adelaide Metro bus gets the LEGO treatment
Adelaide Flickr user, “aazjt” has remodelled the bus from LEGO set 7641 City Corner with the yellow, red, blue and white colours of Adelaide Metro’s public transport work-horses.
7641 City Corner was released in 2009 and re-released as 60031 in 2013 (according to brickipedia). It featured five minifigures, a pizza shop, a bicycle repair shop, a bus stop and a yellow transit bus.
Each of the buildings had its own special features, adding to their playability and the minifigures themselves had their own roles to play in the small LEGO City scene.
The original bus measured 17.8cm long and 7.6cm tall, with access to its interior via removable roof plates and functional doors.
This remix of the original transit bus not only updates the colours but also adds a couple of extra additions including the roof air-conditioner and a right-hand drive/exit-door conversion to closer match the real thing.
The result is a small bus, capable of transporting up to six minifigures (including the driver) to their next destination!
