Welcome to the Southern Bricks LEGO User Group’s new website!

Welcome, Internet traveller to the fresh new website for the Southern Bricks LEGO User Group.

If you’re wondering who we are, we’re a community of LEGO fans in Adelaide and across South Australia who meet regularly in person and chat together regularly online through our growing Facebook Group. We also take support other shows by displaying our creations. If you want to find out more, head over to the ‘About us‘ page.

So, what are you going to find here?

Join the LUG

Our Facebook Group and Facebook Page have been growing but we understand not everyone’s on Facebook. Even if you’re on the Facebook sites, we’d love you to fill out the registration form. We’ll also be sending out e-mails about important information such as events and activities.

Community update

Get to know individual members, see what we’re building, find out about what’s going on in Adelaide for LEGO fans and stay up to date with general SBLUG updates and news in the ‘Community’ section.

Get started with “Meet Kas Modra” an intro to one of our community members who runs a Bricklink store and “Meet Tim Burdon” an intro to our LEGO Ambassador and organiser.

Hints & Tips

We love to share. We share our knowledge, experience and tips on how to get the most out of your LEGO. Whether it’s building techniques, keeping your LEGO clean or even taking photos to share with friends and family, you’ll find articles here from SBLUG members (and our friends).

Get started with “Battle of the bulk” for anyone considering purchasing bulk LEGO second-hand and “Learn how to wash¬†LEGO Bricks with these four tips” from our friend Sue-Anne Barber from the Melbourne User Group.

What’s cool

There’s SO much fantastic LEGO stuff out there and we want to help you find some of the best of it. Have a look here for LEGO related awesomeness from around the web.

Get started with “Spotlight: Franco Polizzi talks LEGO, comics and zombies” an exclusive interview with Melbourne Instagrammer, Franco Polizzi, who has over 19,000 followers and creates comics using minifiguress.

Here you’ll find thoughts from our members on all things LEGO related.Sets, books, games, accessories and more – get the low-down and ask questions here. More to come on these soon!

If you’ve ever built your own LEGO creation, you know it’s a continual process of updating and improving – and that’s the same approach we have with the website. There’s a lot we can do with it, but we’re taking small sets to see what’s going to work and what won’t. So, feel free to send feedback/ideas on what you’d like to see from this website and whether we’re on the right track or not.
